The Montreal Canadiens announced their pre-season schedule on Wednesday, and it will all get started on September 23.

The Canadiens will play six pre-season games, four of which will be at the Bell Centre. They will also play road games in Toronto and Ottawa.

The pre-season will start with two back-to-back home games on September 23 against the Philadelphia Flyers and September 24 against the New Jersey Devils. That will be followed by a trip to Toronto on September 26, with a return trip from the Maple Leafs on September 28. The pre-season wraps up with a home-and-home with the Ottawa Senators, at the Bell Centre on October 1 and in Ottawa on October 5.

It will be the first opportunity to see what should be some intense training camp battles, and likely some important new faces.

The NHL regular season schedule will likely be released around the NHL Draft, and it seems like Montreal’s opener will be around the October 11 mark they played their first game in 2023-24. The Canadiens will also hold a rookie camp with two games at the Bell Centre on September 14 and 15.
